Nana Is in Town!

This is Holden, 7, reading to his Nana. What's funny is he is reading Dick and Jane, which is a book approximately as old as Nana. It's also funny to hear Holden say loudly in Starbucks, "Big, big Dick. Little, little Sally."

Another Saturday Night

Went to my BFF Carol's house for dinner and karaoke. While the grownups drank wine and sang songs, the kids opened up a small casino in the backyard. Looks like DJ was the croupier.

Later, it was hard to get the mic back from Riley once she started singing. What focus!

Little League

Here is a scan of a photo of me and my Little League team from about 1977, I think. I remember many of the boys on this team. Ricky Quintero put this on Facebook and tagged me. I am hoping Holden will play Little League when football season is over.

DJ: Jujitsu Master or Insane Killer?

DJ gave himself a haircut. He texted this picture to me yesterday.

Bin Laden is dead and I got a cool bracelet from DJ

While I wait for the President to tell us that Osama Bin Laden is dead, I thought I would share with you a picture of my new bracelet that DJ made for me.
He ordered a hundred feet of paracord in two colors and has been making bracelets for his classmates for money. Mine was free. I haven't taken it off since he gave it to me.
The bracelet is actually a survival tool. It is one 14 foot piece of very strong rope  on your wrist, if you ever need it.

Little Shop of Horrors

Tonight we went to Little Shop of Horrors. It was a musical at the La Mirada Theater. I liked it a lot. Also, it was really funny in some parts and I laughed along with everyone else. I thought the actors were very good.
